The Community Liver Alliance invites you to join us for the 2021 Virtual Liver Journal Club on March 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. est. The topic is Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Surgical and Hepatology.

 

Our Liver Journal Club Directors are David Geller, MD with the UPMC Liver Cancer Center and Michael Babich, MD with the AHN Center for Digestive Health and Nutrition.

 

The first Liver Journal Club will feature UPMC fellow presenting the NEJM IMbrave 150 RCT for HCC

 

Allegheny General Hospital fellow will present the article "Goals of Treatment for improved survival in primary biliary cholangitis: Treatment target should be bilirubin within the normal range and normalization of alkaline phosphatase." Murillo et al, AJG, 2020, 115(7), p1066.

 

There will be a 15-minute presentation and 15-minute discussion by faculty, per article.

 

The program will educate hepatologists, gastroenterologists, oncologists, primary care physicians and other health care providers involved in the management of patients with liver disease.
